Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for some time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She's appeared on QI with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. Bea's career began in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few part on Irish and British TV shows that began in 2009. In 2012, she began being featured in sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms and similar shows. After she received an prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 She began appearing on numerous panels, and is now a staple. From 2016 to 2017 she served as a captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her younger sister, was born. In 2012 she was the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Her surname is Bea to honor her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was a veterinarian for horses who took his own life at the age of three. Bea was three years old though she did not know what happened to him until she turned 13. In 2017 she composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea's mom Helen was also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was responsible for taking care of her as well as Sinead. Their family was in love with racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her true passion was performing and not racing.
